Well known for his footy shorts and love of all things Melbourne FC, Ahren enjoys getting out and about with participants especially those who love to run around and have a kick of the footy. Ahren is also always up for a game of pool or sneaky UNO challenge… so bring on the fun!

Anthony joined BxB in 2024 as a way to bring his skills as a fully registered Teacher into a new field. Anthony is task orientated and focussed on supporting others to reach their goals, no matter what the journey might bring! Anthony enjoys supporting youth and young adults to explore the local community as well as providing exceptional in-home support to develop their daily living skills.

Ben loves to be on the move but doesn’t mind slipping into the world of fantasy, Anime and all things creative. Bringing a unique humour, gentle nature and huge heart, Ben thrives off being able to support his participants with fitness related tasks as well as drawing epic cartoon’s.

Sometimes the universe puts angels in our world and that is certainly the case for our reigning “Employee of the Year” Cheryl. Cheryl began with our team in 2023 and has proven herself a hard worker and honest operator, Cheryl has supported many participants to reclaim their homes as safe and welcoming spaces. There is cleaning and then there is cleaning with purpose, compassion and understanding that every journey is unique. Cheryl loves supporting others to achieve their goals, no matter how long that might take, and has a keen passion for crafting as well. Cheryl always leaves you with a smile and is the proud leader of our monthly ‘Craft and Chat’ sessions for older female participants.
Fresh from finishing his formal studies as a Mental Health worker, Danny has joined the BxB team in a part time capacity from 2024 onwards.
Fresh from finishing his formal studies as a Mental Health worker, Danny has joined the BxB team in a part time capacity from 2024 onwards. Danny is a cheeky bloke originating from the UK but is a true blue Aussie with a ‘can do’ attitude. Equally happy chatting whilst restoring a motor, building Lego or constructing a fence - Danny is a man with a full tool kit of tools (real and figuratively!). If you are looking for someone who is hands on, gives all tasks a go with a smile and has a passion for all things Mental Health then Danny IS ‘the man’!
After working in Kinders for years, in the pool as a qualified swim instructor all while raising two ASD sons, De finally took the opportunity to join our team in 2024.
After working in Kinders for years, in the pool as a qualified swim instructor all while raising two ASD sons, De finally took the opportunity to join our team in 2024. De has a great energy and loves to be working, this gives her a real zeal for most support tasks and activities. De believes in every participant having the ability to be supported to achieve living their best lives. Using a variety of person centric approaches tailored to participants young and old, De finds the challenge of achieving goals easier when done together. Not looking for the lime light, De is a quiet achiever who prefers to let her work speak for itself.

One of our originals, Roman, has been with the team since 2023 and is on the verge of completing their tertiary studies in Mental Health work. Roman is a true superstar of board games, D&D and all things ‘geeky’. Never one to miss an opportunity for fun, Roman loves to jump into a NERF war or head down to the splash park to cool off in Summer. Roman is keen to mix acquired knowledge with effective experience to deliver personalised results for participants. Roman has a distinct passion for supporting participants to build their confidence through the exploration of new experiences and finding the thrill of completing new challenges.

One of our newer members of the team, Ella, has come off the farm to join the BxB family in 2024. Quickly establishing herself as the Queen of cooking, master of crafting and all things sewing, Ella has become one of our most popular workers! Whilst managing to lose almost every game she has played, Ella is always up for another chance and loves to have a laugh whilst working towards social goals. As a true all-rounder, Ella can work at home and in the community and is currently undertaking further study to enhance her skills.

Emmalee has been part of the BxB family since 2022 and brings a wealth of lived experience within the disability and mental health sectors. Armed with multiple qualifications in personal care, community services and Mental Health, Emmalee brings a unique style to supporting her participants. A specialist with challenging behaviours, including PDA, Emmalee brings her vibrant personality to help families learn and grow together. Emmalee has a real passion to support participants with social connection and exploring the local community and feels that strong connections and solid foundations are the keys to ongoing successful outcomes. Never one to shy from a challenge, Emmalee also takes pride in supporting participants with in-home cleaning and organisational tasks.

An original and the first BxB employee, Ethan is a proud ASD man who has been with us since 2020. Ethan has a true passion for supporting people, specialising in young men aged 13-25 to achieve their goals. Ethan uses a range of approaches to support his participants to reach goals including personal hygiene, social connection and school attendance. Ethan has a passion for Lego and is an avid collector himself. This can also be said for NERF, tabletop card games, video games and all things cool! Ethan is empathetic and works diligently to help deliver allied health goals through application of strategies in Behavioural Support Plans or OT/Speech recommendations. Ethan believes that a support worker’s role is to stand beside a participant and share their adventure.

Fabio jogged into his role with BxB in 2023 and hasn’t stopped moving since! Fabio has a deep interest in all things health and fitness and combines this with empathy and compassion to assist those living with Disability to reach their goals. Fabio has formal training in Mental Health support and connects on a human level with all that he does. Fabio doesn’t mind what the task is, where the venue is, or what the goal might be - his mission to support and assist is clear. Fabio is developing his fishing skills and was pleased to land his first fish, with the help of a participant, out of the lake after only a few tries! Fabio is fabulous and a vital member of our team!

Bringing the laughter, the chaos, the ADHD vibe since 2023 is the one and only Julia! Always the first to embrace new technology, find unique solutions and use every tool available to provide tailored personal support to participants. Our resident expert for 3D printing, crafting and a tonne of board games, Julia loves to support people to unleash their own creativity. Specialising in working with LGBTiQ+ youth, Julia brings authenticity to the support process.
Karina is the proud Autistic owner, founder and chief chaos maker of BxB.
Karina is the proud Autistic owner, founder and chief chaos maker of BxB. Preferring to sit and build Lego than deal with life’s challenges led to some awkward conversations and consequences and changes were needed. So after a LOT of self development, formal study and hard work, Karina was able to find a way to achieve her personal goals. After a tragic event in 2019, Karina identified a lack of Autistic led services in the local area. WIth a dream, a couple of dollars and some hard work - Brick by Brick was born and the rest is history. In keeping with the original aims, Karina deeply believes in everyone's right to have access to supports that assist them to see themselves for all the amazingness they are.
Kevin has been with BxB since 2024 and brings to his role a vast knowledge of all things NBA, sporting and how to conquer the challenges of independent living.
Kevin has been with BxB since 2024 and brings to his role a vast knowledge of all things NBA, sporting and how to conquer the challenges of independent living. Kevin enjoys supporting our younger participants to feel confident exploring their local communities and meeting others. Kevin brings a caring, empathetic approach to his work and is excited to be starting formal study in 2025 to build even further on his skill set.

With a never give up, never give in and always chase your dreams attitude, Lachy stamped himself on the BxB in 2023! Lachlan brings a quick wit, a heap of knowledge and genuine passion for supporting others to his role. Equally happy supporting others in the home, in the hub or in the community - his favourite words are “we can do that”. Lachlan has a passion for all things Japanese and has recently enjoyed his first taste of overseas travel - with more to come! Lachlan enjoys working with participants in exploring all things from many other cultures including languages and experiences. Adept at Warhammer, D&D, NERF, crafting, sports and boxing, Lachlan always finds something to connect with his participants to help them achieve their goals.

All good leaders are prepared to work hard for their success, and this describes our Service Manager, Maddi, perfectly. After completing her Diploma of Community Services Work with distinction, Maddi began with BxB in 2022 and quickly showed her dedication, skills and caring nature with a range of participants. After being appointed as a team leader in late 2023, Maddi has helped shape and guide the team to mirror her style and commitment to quality support. With BxB continuing to grow, when the time came to appoint a leader, Maddi stood tall. After embracing the role of Service Manager, Maddi continues to shine in assisting with accessing the NDIS, Plan Reviews, paperwork, administration and supporting Participants to make the most of their funding to achieve their goals. Maddi loves to find new ways to style her home, potter in the garden and is keen to start caravanning with her family this year. Maddi believes that whilst all journeys do start with just one step, in order to reach a destination, you need to keep taking steps and that is where great support can help. Maddi loves to support participants - one step at a time.

Tricia joined BxB in 2021 and has supported participants to unleash their inner creativity and develop real life skills. Helping to assist multiple participants to create award winning craft and sewing products has given Tricia a sense of pride and purpose. Tricia wants those living with disability to see what they CAN do, and realise that all people can achieve goals with the right attitude, support and team around them. Tricia is also a fantastic team mate for any kind of trivia night and enjoys supporting participants to broaden their world, historical or movie knowledge.

As a Registered Social Worker, Sarah leads our Allied Health Services after joining our motley crew in 2023. As a Social Worker, Sarah focusses on a person- centric approach to create appropriate plans for a wrap-around model of support to achieve exceptional outcomes for our participants. Sarah has a large network of key industry contacts and has a particular passion ro working with Women and Families to create lasting positive change. Sarah sets the professional tone for our team to provide exceptional support to our participants and uses her extensive Social Work skill set in a multitude of ways to deliver outcomes. Whilst it is not a passion, Sarah recognises that writing reports is an important feature and is able to provide recommendations and assessments for the NDIS. Sarah loves a good laugh, has a keen competitive side and loves Netball.

Suzie knows what neurodiversity looks like as a proud ADHD Mum of ASD children. Bringing a true sense of understanding and compassion for what this journey looks like, Suzie joined the team in 2023 after a long career in childcare. Quickly showing her leadership and hard work, Suzie earnt her promotion to Team Leader and hasn’t looked back. Suzie loves to be busy and approaches every task with her full enthusiasm and energy. Whether that is hiding in a fort, ready to launch a well timed NERF ambush, or running through the splash park, packing up boxes or scrubbing down the laundry trough - Suzie handles it all! Suzie is all about the individual and loves taking the time to get to know a participant and understand their goal and then walking beside them to achieve it. Always up for a chat, adventure or game - Suzie leads from the front with a smile.
